RAFT RACE :

Wellesbourne & district and Shakespeare lions clubs have been doing a remarkable job for many years in supporting a wide range of charity organisations. They are organised a charity raft race on Sunday 21st June 2009. They kindly identified us as the main beneficiary this year and our heartfelt thanks goes to them.The Coventry and Warwickshire group organized a wide range of fun and exciting activities along with the raft race such as : -

An Arts and Crafts tent
Lucky Dip
Tombola
A Bookstall
A raffle ticket Sale
Photograpy
MND Association awareness stand
Thanks for coming along and making the event a big success.
Victors Vikings :
One of our members Julie Rawlings launched a team named 'Victors Vikings' for the raft race .The raft has been bulit by her dad Philip Rawlings and the team is captained by her fiance Kev Wall.They are doing it in the memory of her granddad Victor Rawlings who they lost to MND.
'Dunk it' EVENT :
Julie Rawlings had a dunk it event on Saturday 23 May,2009 at Warwick gates community centre.Many thanks for your participation and your support to raise funds for MND Association .
DONATION RECEIVED :
On 24th April 2009 Marjorie and Nerys Watton went along to the head office of the Heart of England Co-operative Society in Nuneaton to receive a cheque for £1000. It was presented to us by the President of the Society, Michael Sheridan, and came from their Helping Hands Awards Scheme after a survey of 70,000 members voted for the MND Coventry and Warwickshire group to receive one of 5 of these awards.
